The Peril of Unlawful Unions
The Lord warns that a marriage contracted without legal age or spiritual consent is merely a pursuit of worldly vanity that invites tribulation.
The Son of God speaks to his bride about a certain queen whom a king had taken as his wife—a woman from a lineage condemned by the Church and married before the legal age—saying: Pay attention, daughter, and know that every Christian marriage requires a lawful age and consent, but in this case, neither is present. This marriage is like children playing with dolls, because they're seeking worldly glory rather than the law of Christ and the honor of God; that's why this union will bring trouble to the kingdom, not salvation.
The Fruit of Disobedience
God explains that unions born from condemned lineages lack divine blessing and cites the example of Isaac to illustrate the necessity of spiritual purity in marriage.
And although this young queen, the daughter of parents condemned by the Church, won't bear the iniquity of her father, still, salvation and fruit will never come to the people from the seed of one who provokes me to anger. That is why Isaac warned his son to take a wife from his own people, so he wouldn't be contaminated by a people with whom God was angry.✦
