Chapter 55Revel.8.55

Faithfulness Amidst Criticism

The Lord instructs his bride to remain steadfast in proclaiming divine truth regardless of human praise or criticism, promising mercy to those who obey.

The Son of God said to his bride: "You who see spiritual things must not stay silent just because you are criticized, nor should you speak just because people praise you; and you must not be afraid because the words I have revealed to you from heaven are treated with contempt and aren't fulfilled immediately." Justice judges those who scorn me, but mercy rewards those who obey me, and it does so in two ways: first, because the penalty for sin is wiped from the book of justice; second, because the reward is increased in proportion to the satisfaction made for sins. And so, all my words come down to this one conclusion: if those to whom my words are sent hear them, believe them, and put them into practice, then my promises will be fulfilled.

The Pattern of Rebellion and Judgment

Using the historical example of Israel, the Lord warns that those who refuse to humble themselves after divine correction only harden their hearts further.

Because of this, Israel, unwilling to follow my commandments, abandoned the straight and direct path and instead took a crooked and difficult one, becoming hateful to everyone—many of whom are in hell, though more are in heaven. It's the same way even now. The people of this kingdom, whom I had struck, didn't become more humble or obedient because of the blow; instead, they became bolder against me and even more contrary to me.

The Call to Spiritual Warfare

A divine command is issued to act with the wisdom of Solomon and the strength of Samson to confront those who have shut God out of their hearts, until they return in humility.

After this, however, I heard a voice saying, "My son, you who freed the human race from hell by your death, rise up and defend yourself, because many men and women have shut you out of their hearts." Enter the kingdom wisely like Solomon, tear the great gates from their posts with the strength of Samson, lay siege to the clergy and set traps before the feet of the soldiers, frighten the women with weapons, and tear down the bridges before the community of the people! And don't let any of your enemies escape until those who harden themselves against you seek mercy with true humility.
