The Virgin's Testimony
The Virgin Mary appears to Birgitta at her tomb to clarify the timeline of her life, death, and bodily assumption into heaven.
While I was in the Valley of Jehoshaphat, praying at the tomb of the glorious Virgin, she herself appeared to me, shining with an intense radiance, and said: Pay attention, daughter. After my Son ascended into heaven, I lived in the world for fifteen years, plus the time that passes between the feast of my Son's Ascension and the day of my own death. After I died, I lay in this tomb for fifteen days. Afterward, I was assumed into heaven with infinite honor and joy. The clothes I was buried in remained in this tomb, but I was then clothed in the same garments that my Son and my Lord, Jesus Christ, is clothed in. Also, know that there is no human body in heaven except for the glorious body of my Son and my own body.
A Call to Holy Living
Mary exhorts Birgitta to return home and live with greater holiness after having visited the sacred sites of the Incarnation.
Now, go back to the lands of the Christians, always improve your lives for the better, and from here on out, live with the utmost care and attention, since you have now visited these holy places where my Son and I lived in the flesh, and where we died and were buried.

Cum essem in valle Iosaphat, ad sepulchrum gloriose virginis orans, apparuit michi eadem virgo, choruscans splendore nimio dicens:
"Attende, filia!
