The King's Warning to the World
The Mother of God uses an allegory of a king and his rebellious city to explain the necessity of warning the world of impending judgment.
The Mother said, "My Son is like a king who had a city with seventy princes, yet in each of their domains, there was only one person loyal to the king." Then those faithful ones, seeing that nothing awaited the unfaithful but death and damnation, wrote to a certain lady who was very close to the king, begging her to intercede for them and to suggest to the king that he write them words of warning, so that they might turn back from their stubbornness. When she suggested that the king consider the salvation of those unbelievers, he replied, "Nothing remains for them but death, and that is what they deserve." Nevertheless, because of your prayers, I'll write two words to them. The first word contains three things: first, the condemnation they deserve; second, poverty; and third, the confusion and disgrace they are worthy of because of their actions. The second word is that everyone who humbles himself will receive grace and enjoy life. When the letter with these two statements reached those faithless people, some of them said, "We're just as strong as the king, so we'll defend ourselves." Others said, "We don't care about life or death." Whatever happens, it's not a big concern to us." Others also said, "What we heard is false and made up." For this letter didn't come from the king's own mouth."
The Crown and the Shield
The King grants the Mother of God authority over his crown and shield, symbols of power against evil and the restoration of peace.
After hearing these responses, the faithful wrote a second time to the lady mentioned earlier, who was very close to the king, saying: 'These unbelievers don't believe the king's words, nor do they believe ours.' Therefore, ask the king to send them some special sign as a token of credibility, so that they might believe the letter truly came from the king's own mouth. Hearing this, the King said, "Two things belong specifically to a king: the crown, of course, and the shield." No one can wear the king's crown except the king, and the king's shield, naturally, brings peace to those who are at odds. Therefore, I'll send these two things to them, in case they might believe my words and turn back from their malice." This king represents nothing other than my Son, who is the King of glory and the Son of God, and mine as well. He possesses a city—that is, the world—in which there are seventy languages, like seventy domains. In every language there is a friend of my Son; that is to say, there is no language in which some friends of my Son cannot be found. They are represented as one because of the unity of faith and love. I am that lady who is most familiar to the King, and my friends, seeing that misery was pressing upon the world, sent their prayers to me, asking that I might soften my Son toward the world. Moved by my prayers and those of the saints, He sent to the world the words of His own mouth, which had been foreknown from eternity. To help them believe, and so these words wouldn't be dismissed as something made up, I obtained the King's crown and shield as a sign: the crown for the power that will be given to one over unclean spirits, and the shield for the work of peace that will be given to another—namely, to reform discordant hearts into one heart and mutual love. The words of my Son are really just two things, because in all of them there is nothing else but these two: a curse for those who harden themselves, and mercy for those who humble themselves. After saying this, the Son spoke to His mother: "Blessed are you!" You are like that mother who is sent to find a bride for her son. In the same way, I send you to my friends so that they may join the souls of the elect to me in a spiritual marriage, as befits God. Therefore, because of your great mercy and the love with which you so fervently cherish souls, I give you authority over that crown and shield, so that you may grant them not only to those two, but to others as well, as you wish.
The Mother's Mission of Mercy
The Mother of God instructs the bride on how to use the crown and shield to exorcise spirits and reconcile discordant hearts among the powerful.
You are full of mercy, and that is why you draw all mercy from me to sinners. Blessed is anyone who serves you, because they won't be abandoned in either life or death. Then the Mother spoke again to the bride: "It is written that John the Baptist went before the face of my Son; yet not everyone saw him, because he was in the wilderness." In the same way, I go before the terrible judgment of my Son that is to come, with my mercy. So, on my behalf, tell the one who wears the crown that whenever he feels the usual Spirit and the fervor of my Son within him, he should read these words over the one who is troubled: God the Father, who with the Son and the Holy Spirit is the creator of all things and the judge of all that has been made, who sent his blessed Son with himself into the womb of the Virgin Mary for our salvation, I command you, unclean spirit, for His glory and because of the prayers of the Virgin Mary, to depart from this creature of God in the name of Him who was born of the Virgin, Jesus Christ, one God, who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then, on my behalf, it will be said to the other who carries the shield: 'You have often sent me to God as your messenger, and I have pleaded with my Son for you.' Now I ask you to go as my messenger to the supreme head of the Church, because even if Lucifer were to sit beside him, the words of my Son will be fulfilled according to His will.' When he arrives in France, he should gather the princes before him and speak these words in their hearing: 'God, who is with the Father and the Holy Spirit, the creator of all things and of everything that has been made, who deigned to descend into a virgin's womb and unite His divinity to humanity, without, however, separating Himself from His divinity,' May He who so fixed His love upon humanity that, when He saw the lance, the sharp nails, and all the instruments of death before Him, He chose rather to die and to suffer all those horrible instruments of death—to have His nerves cut and His hands and feet pierced—than to abandon the love He had fixed upon humanity; may He, by His own passion, unite you into one heart, you who until now have been divided. Then, as my Spirit instructs him, let him set before them the punishments of hell, the joy of the righteous, and the retribution of the wicked.

Ergo propter magnam misericordiam tuam et caritatem, qua sic feruenter diligis animas, do tibi auctoritatem super coronam illam et clipeum, vt non solum duobus sed et aliis, quibus volueris, dare possis.
Tu enim plena es misericordia et ideo omnem misericordiam trahis a me ad peccatores. Benedictus sit ille, quicumque tibi seruit, quia nec relinquetur in morte nec in vita."
Deinde loquebatur mater iterum ad sponsam: "Scriptum est, quod Iohannes Baptista precessit ante faciem filii mei; quem non omnes viderunt, quia in heremo erat. Sic ego ante terribile iudicium illud futurum filii mei precedo cum misericordia mea.

'Deus Pater, qui est cum Filio et Spiritu Sancto creator omnium rerum et iudex eorum, que facta sunt, qui misit benedictum filium suum cum se ipso in viscera virginis Marie propter nostram salutem,
precipio tibi, immunde spiritus, vt ad gloriam eius et propter preces Marie virginis exeas ab ista creatura Dei in nomine eius, qui natus est de virgine Ihesus Christus vnus Deus, qui est Pater et Filius et Spiritus Sanctus.'
Deinde dicetur ex parte mea alteri, qui habet clipeum: 'Tu sepe me misisti quasi nuncium tuum ad Deum, et rogaui filium meum pro te. Nunc ego rogo te, vt tu vadas nuncius meus ad summum caput Ecclesie, quia eciam si sederit ei Lucifer, verba filii mei secundum eius voluntatem perficientur.'

qui fixit sic caritatem suam ad hominem, vt, cum videret lanceam et acutos clauos et omnia instrumenta mortis ante se, magis voluit mori et omnia horribilia instrumenta mortis sufferre neruosque incidi, manus et pedes perforari quam caritatem ad hominem fixam relinquere, ipse propter suam passionem vos coniungat in vnum cor, qui hactenus fueratis dissociati.'
