Verba Matris benediccionis et rogacionis ad Filium, ut verba sua dilatentur per mundum et radicentur in cordibus amicorum suorum, et qualiter ipsa Virgo per florem, in orto natum, mirabiliter designatur. Et de verbis Christi, per sponsam transmissis ad papam et ad alios prelatos Ecclesie.

The Virgin's Intercession

The Blessed Virgin prays that the words of her Son may take root and flourish in the hearts of his friends.

The blessed Virgin spoke to her Son, saying, "Blessed are you, my Son, my God, Lord of the angels, and King of glory!" I ask that your words, which you have spoken, may take root in the hearts of your friends and cling to their minds as firmly as the pitch used to seal Noah’s ark—which neither storms nor winds could break apart. May they spread throughout the world like branches and most sweet flowers, whose fragrance is scattered far and wide. May they also bear fruit and grow sweet like the date, whose sweetness delights the soul beyond measure.

The Flower of the Garden

Christ responds to his mother, affirming her unique holiness and promising to establish his words in the hearts of the faithful.

The Son replied, "Blessed are you, my dearest mother!" My angel Gabriel said to you, 'Blessed are you, Mary, above all women!' And I bear witness to you that you are blessed and most holy above all the choirs of angels. You are like a flower in a garden; even though many other fragrant flowers surround it, it still surpasses them all in scent, beauty, and virtue. These flowers are all the chosen ones from Adam until the end of the world. Though they were planted in the garden of the world and shone and flourished with various virtues, you were more excellent than all who have been and who are yet to come in the fragrance of a good life and humility, in the beauty of most pleasing virginity, and in the power of abstinence. I bear witness to you that in my passion you were more than a martyr, in your abstinence more than any confessor, and in mercy and good will more than an angel. Because of you, I will plant my words like the strongest bitumen in the hearts of my friends. They will spread out like fragrant flowers and bear fruit like the sweetest, most delicious date palm.

A Mandate for the Church

Christ instructs the bride to deliver his message to the Church hierarchy, emphasizing the urgency of his passion and the power of reconciliation.

Then the Lord spoke to the bride: "Tell your friend, as you would his father—whose heart is like my own heart—that he must carefully explain these written words; he is to present them to the archbishop, and afterwards to another bishop." Once they've been carefully informed, he should then send them on to a third bishop. Tell him this for me: 'I am your Creator and the Redeemer of souls.' I am the God whom you love and cherish above all else. Consider and see that the souls I have redeemed with my blood are like the souls of those who do not know God, and they are held captive by the devil so horribly that he punishes them in every limb as if in a tight press.1 Therefore, if my wounds are precious to your heart, and if you truly feel the weight of my scourging and the pain of being held in low regard, show by your actions how much you love me. Make the words I have spoken with my own mouth public, and take them personally to the head of the Church. I will give you my Spirit so that, whenever two people disagree, you’ll be able to reconcile them in my name through the power given to you, provided they believe.

The Taste of the Word

Christ explains how his words are received differently based on the interior state of the soul, and promises support for the mission.

Furthermore, to provide even greater evidence for my words, take their testimonies with you to the pontiff—those in whom my words taste sweet and bring delight.2 My words are like fat, which melts all the faster the more heat there is inside. But where there is no heat, it is rejected and doesn't reach the depths of the soul. This is how my words are: the more a person, burning with my love, consumes and chews on them, the more they are nourished by the sweetness of heavenly longing and interior love, and the more they catch fire for my love. But for those who don't find my words pleasing, they have something like bitterness in their mouths. Once they taste them, they immediately spit them out and trample them underfoot. That is how my words are despised by some, because the sweetness of spiritual things doesn't taste right to them. The prince of the earth, whom I have chosen as a member of my body and have truly made my own, will help you courageously and will provide you with what you need for your journey from goods that have been honestly acquired.

Rogo te, ut verba tua, que locutus es, radicentur in cordibus amicorum tuorum et ita firmiter mentibus inhereant sicut bitumen, quo archa Noe linita est, quam nec procelle nec venti dissoluere potuerunt.

Dilatentur eciam per mundum sicut rami et flores suauissimi, quorum odor late spargitur. Fructificent insuper et dulcescant sicut dactilus, cuius suauitas nimium animam delectat."

Respondit filius: "Benedicta sis tu, carissima mater mea! Gabriel, angelus meus, dixit tibi: 'Benedicta', inquit, 'sis tu, Maria, pre mulieribus!' Et ego perhibeo tibi testimonium, quod tu benedicta et sanctissima es super omnes angelorum choros.

Tu es quasi flos in orto, quem licet diuersi odoriferi flores circumstent, tamen ipse omnes excellit in odore, in pulchritudine et virtute.

Flores isti sunt omnes electi ab Adam usque ad finem mundi. Qui, in orto mundi plantati, diuersis virtutibus nituerunt et floruerunt, sed inter omnes, qui fuerunt et qui post futuri sunt, tu excellencior fuisti in odore bone vite et humilitatis, in pulchritudine gratissime virginitatis, in virtute abstinencie.

Testimonium enim perhibeo tibi, quod tu in passione mea plus fuisti quam martir, in abstinencia tua plus quam aliquis confessorum, in misericordia et bona voluntate plus quam angelus.

Ideo propter te verba mea radicabo quasi bitumen fortissimum in cordibus amicorum meorum. Dilatabuntur quasi flores odoriferi et fructificabunt quasi dactilus suauissimus et dulcissimus."

Deinde loquebatur Dominus ad sponsam: "Dic amico tuo, ut patri suo, cuius cor est secundum cor meum, quod hec verba conscripta exponat diligenter, et ipse archiepiscopo et postea alii episcopo assignabit. Quibus diligenter informatis postea transmittat ad tercium episcopum.

Dic enim ei ex parte mea: 'Ego sum creator tuus et redemptor animarum. Ego sum Deus, quem pre ceteris diligis et amas. Considera et vide, quod anime, quas redemi sanguine meo, sunt quasi anime illorum, qui ignorant Deum, et sunt captiue a diabolo tam horribiliter, quod in omnibus membris punit eas quasi in prelo arto.

Propterea, si vulnera mea tibi sapiunt in animo, si flagellacionem meam et dolorem alicuius reputacionis habes, ostende operibus tuis, quantum me diligis!

Et verba mea, que proprio ore locutus sum, in publicum venire facias et ad caput Ecclesie personaliter defer! Dabo enim tibi spiritum meum, ut, ubicumque duorum fuerit dissensio, in nomine meo ex virtute tibi data confederare possis, si crediderint.

Insuper et ad maiorem euidenciam verborum meorum eorum testimonia tecum ad pontificem deferes, quibus verba mea sapiunt et delectant.

Verba enim mea sunt quasi aruina, que, quanto maior calor intus fuerit, tanto cicius liquescit. Ubi autem calor non fuerit, reicitur et non peruenit ad interiora.

Sic verba mea sunt, quia, quanto homo plus caritate mea feruens mandit ea et terit, tanto plus impinguatur ex dulcedine celestis desiderii et interni amoris et tanto plus inardescit ad amorem meum.

Quibus autem non placent verba mea, quasi aruinam habent in ore. Qua degustata statim eiciunt ab ore et conculcant. Sic verba mea ab aliquibus despiciuntur, quia dulcedo spiritualium non sapit eis.

Princeps autem terre, quem in membrum meum elegi et vere meum feci, viriliter adiuuabit te et necessaria pro via de bonis bene acquisitis ministrabit tibi.'"
