Verba exhortacionis Virginis ad sponsam, qualiter suum filium debeat diligere super omnia et qualiter in Virgine gloriosa omnes virtutes et gracie includuntur.
The Three Virtues of the Mother
The Virgin Mary explains how her humility, obedience, and love drew her into a unique union with her Son.
The Mother said, "I possessed three things that pleased my Son: humility, so that no creature—neither angel nor human—was more humble than I; second, I possessed obedience, by which I strove to obey my Son in everything; third, I possessed exceptional love." That is why I have been honored in three ways by my Son. For first, I was made more honorable than angels and humans, so that there is no virtue in God that doesn't shine in me, even though He Himself is the source and Creator of all things. Yet I am his creature, to whom he has granted his grace above all others. Second, because of my obedience, I have gained such power that there is no sinner so unclean who, if they turn to me with a purpose of amendment and a contrite heart, won't receive forgiveness. Third, because of love, God draws so close to me that whoever sees God sees me, and whoever sees me can see both divinity and humanity in me as if in a mirror, and see me in God.
The Mirror of the Trinity
Mary describes her soul and body as a mirror of the Godhead, reflecting the fullness of the Trinity.
Whoever sees God sees the three Persons in Him, and whoever sees me sees, in a sense, the three Persons. For the Godhead has enclosed me within itself, soul and body, and has filled me with every virtue, so that there is no virtue in God that doesn't shine forth in me, even though God Himself is the Father and Giver of all virtues. Just as when two bodies are joined—whatever one receives, the other receives as well—so God has done with me. For there is no sweetness that isn't in me, just as someone who has a kernel shares a portion with another. My soul and body are purer than the sun and clearer than a mirror. So, just as you'd see three people in a mirror if they stood before it, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit can be seen in my purity. For I held my Son in my womb, together with his divinity. Now he is seen in me, with both his divinity and his humanity, as if in a mirror, because I have been glorified.
A Call to Imitation
The Virgin exhorts the bride to imitate her humility and center all her love upon Christ.
Therefore, bride of my Son, strive to follow my humility, and love nothing but my Son!

Mater loquebatur: "Ego habui tria, quibus placui filio meo: humilitatem, ut nulla creatura, nec angelus nec homo, esset me humilior; secundo habui obedienciam, qua studui obedire filio meo in omnibus; tercio habui precipuam caritatem.
Ideo tripliciter honorata sum a filio meo.
