The Heavenly Plea for the Suffering Soul
The Father, Son, Mother, and angels unite in a solemn petition before the throne of heaven to intercede for the suffering daughter.
The Father spoke, with the whole host of heaven listening, saying: "I complain before you all that I gave my daughter to a man who afflicts her too severely and binds her feet in wooden stocks, so that all the marrow drains from her feet." The Son answered him: "Father, she is the one whom I redeemed with my own blood and betrothed to myself, but now she has been violently snatched away." Then the Mother spoke, saying: "You are my God and my Lord, and the members of your blessed Son were in my body; He is truly your Son and truly my Son." For I have denied you nothing on earth. Have mercy on your daughter because of my prayers!" After this, the angels spoke, saying: "You are our Lord, and in You we have every good, and we lack nothing except You." When Your bride came forth from You, we all rejoiced. Now, however, we could rightly be saddened, because she has been handed over into the hands of the wicked one, who confuses her with every vileness and disgrace. Have mercy, therefore, upon her for the sake of Your great mercy, because her misery is very great, and there is no one who can comfort and deliver her except You, Lord God Almighty."
The Father's Gracious Response
The Father affirms his unity with the Son and grants the requests of the Mother and the angels, promising mercy for his daughter.
Then the Father answered the Son, saying: "Son, your complaint is my complaint, your word is my word, your works are my works; you are in me and I in you, inseparably." May your will be done!"✦ Then, turning to the mother of the Son, He said: "Because you denied me nothing on earth, I will deny you nothing in heaven." Your will shall be done." But to the angels he said, "You are my friends, and the flame of your love burns in my heart." I will show mercy to my daughter because of your prayers."

Pater loquebatur, audiente toto exercitu celi, dicens: "Coram vobis conqueror, quod filiam meam tradidi uni viro, qui nimis affligit eam et pedes eius cippo ligneo stringit ita, quod omnis medulla exit de pedibus eius." Cui respondit filius: "Ipsa est, pater, quam ego sanguine meo redemi et desponsaui michi, sed nunc violenter rapta est."
Deinde loquebatur mater dicens: "Tu es Deus meus et Dominus meus et membra filii tui benedicti fuerunt in corpore meo, qui verus filius tuus et verus filius meus est. Ego enim tibi nichil negaui in terra. Miserere filie tue propter preces meas!"
Post hec loquebantur angeli dicentes: "Tu es Dominus noster et in te omne bonum habemus nec aliquo indigemus nisi te. Quando sponsa tua de te processit, omnes nos gratulabamur. Nunc autem merito contristari possemus, quia tradita est in manus pessimi, qui eam omni vilitate et obprobrio confundit. Miserere igitur ei propter tuam magnam misericordiam, quia miseria eius magna est nimis, et non est, qui consoletur et liberet eam nisi tu, Domine Deus omnipotens."
Tunc respondit pater ad filium dicens: "Fili, querimonia tua querimonia mea est, verbum tuum verbum meum, opera tua opera mea sunt, tu in me et ego in te inseparabiliter. Fiat voluntas tua!"
Deinde ad matrem filii ait: "Quia tu michi nichil negasti in terra, ideo ego tibi nichil negabo in celo. Voluntas tua complebitur."
Ad angelos autem dixit: "Vos estis amici mei et flamma caritatis vestre ardet in corde meo. Faciam misericordiam filie mee propter preces vestras."
