Order in the Morning Duties
The children are instructed to work together in pairs to make beds under careful supervision.
At the end of the prayers, they all go together to make their beds and those of the little ones, doing them two by two according to how they've been paired: and no one leaves a room until everyone has completely finished, unless the sister who accompanies them allows some to go start others in the next room, thinking she can watch them by placing herself where she can see both rooms at once. Care is also taken in choosing which children are sent, ensuring they are the ones whose good sense and faithfulness are most reliable.
Breakfast and Spiritual Nourishment
The morning routine concludes with washing, breakfast, and a reading from the Martyrology to honor the saints.
While they're making their beds, one of them prepares breakfast and whatever is needed for washing their hands, and wine and water for rinsing the mouth. Once the beds are made, they go wash their hands and then have breakfast, during which one of them reads from the Martyrology of the day, so that they know which saint the Church specially commemorates that day, and so that they honor them and place themselves under their protection.

A la fin des prières, elles vont toutes ensemble faire leurs lits et ceux des petites, les faisant deux à deux selon qu'on les a destinées : et personne ne sort d'une chambre que toutes n'ayent entièrement fait, si ce n'est que la sœur qui les accompagne ne permît à quelques-unes d'aller en commencer d'autres dans la chambre prochaine, croyant les pouvoir voir en se mettant en lieu d'où elle puisse voir les deux chambres en même temps. Et encore prend-on garde quelles enfants on envoie, et que ce soient celles dont on est le plus assuré de la sagesse et de la fidélité.
Pendant qu'elles font leurs lits, il y en a une qui apprête le déjeuner et ce qui est nécessaire pour laver les mains, et du vin et de l'eau pour laver la bouche.
Les lits étant faits, elles vont laver leurs mains et ensuite déjeuner, pendant lequel une d'elles fait une lecture du Martyrologe du jour, afin qu'elles sachent de quel saint l'Église fait particulière mémoire en ce jour, et qu'elles les honorent et se mettent sous leur protection.
