Preces Quotidianae
A Plea for Mercy
The petitioner humbly begs God to turn away His just indignation, confessing repeated and grave sin.
And keep me, your servant, forever—or at least the least among the least.1 I beg you, Lord, by all your mercy: let your most just indignation be turned away from me, because I have sinned against you most gravely and most often.✦2 most recently3 and especially 4 25.4 I have sinned against You—most recently5
Intercession for All
The prayer extends the plea for mercy to encompass family, clergy, household, and all Christian people, ending with 'Amen.'
May it be turned away from me, from my parents, brothers, and sisters, from the Reverend Lord, and from my household, kindred, friends, neighborhood, homeland, and the whole Christian people,67 Amen.
Eucharistic Participation
The petitioner asks to be made a partaker of the Eucharist, recollecting and offering it in thanksgiving.
Make me a sharer in these things. Eucharistic Intercession. What I believe is for my sake: I recollect, I give thanks, I recall, I remember, I commemorate, I offer, or I ask you to offer,8 I beg you, make me a participant, and apply it to me.9

Notes
- 1 ↩Normalized reading takes `in :eternum` as `in aeternum` (forever); the colon looks like a typesetting/OCR artifact, not a separate word.
- 2 ↩Between `quia` and `peccavi` the source has unreadable OCR/garbled tokens (`1 a aic: xo QE B`); sense restored as `quia ... peccavi Tibi`. `scpissime` read as `saepissime` (most often).
- 3 ↩Bare adverb fragment continuing the confession series from the previous section (gravissime, saepissime…); neighboring Latin is heavily corrupted, so the intended full clause cannot be recovered from this section alone.
- 4 ↩Reading 'precipue que' as praecipueque ('and especially'). The trailing '4 25' is opaque in the supplied text—possibly a marginal, lectionary, or scripture cue that has been pulled into the sentence body; left as numerals rather than silently expanded.
- 5 ↩Leading 'J' is not a clear Latin word. Treated as an old-type initial I / stray mark / possible abbreviated address, not as an extra lexical item; core sense is peccavi Tibi.
- 6 ↩Source surface famihaque is almost certainly familiaque (and household/family); rendered accordingly.
- 7 ↩Avertatur is passive subjunctive with no explicit subject in this section (what is to be averted—wrath, harm, sin, etc.). Translation preserves the impersonal force rather than inventing a subject.
- 8 ↩Source reading 'Qu:e' treated as corrupted/abbreviated 'Quae' (those things which).
- 9 ↩Source reads 'fae'; taken as corrupt for 'fac' (imperative of facio), which alone yields sense with participem and the following applica.
