The Immortal Father

A monk demonstrates his total detachment from earthly ties by affirming his true identity as a child of the immortal God.

A monk was told that his father had died. He said to the messenger, "Stop blaspheming. My Father is immortal."

Scripture echoes

  1. Matt.23.9And do not call anyone on earth your father, for you have one Father—the One in heaven.
