The Anatomy of Desire
The progression from sensory perception to desire and the subsequent struggle for fulfillment defines the mechanics of human passion.
Whatever you love, you will certainly long for; and whatever you long for, you will struggle to obtain. Desire initiates every pleasure, while sensation gives birth to desire, for whatever has no sensation is also free from passion.
