The Inner Chamber and the Heavenly Kingdom
Entering the inner chamber reveals the heavenly chamber, for they are one; the ladder of the kingdom is hidden within the soul, and cleansing from sin reveals the steps of ascent.
Strive to enter the chamber within you, and you'll see the heavenly chamber. For the two are one, and through a single entrance you see them both.1 The ladder of that kingdom is hidden within you — that is, within your soul.✦ So cleanse yourself from sin, and there you'll find the steps by which you can ascend.

Αγωνίσου να εισέλθεις στο θάλαμο που βρίσκεται μέσα σου, και θα δεις τον ουράνιο θάλαμο. Γιατί και τούτος κι εκείνος είναι ένας, και από μία είσοδο τους βλέπεις και τους δύο. Η σκάλα της βασιλείας εκείνης είναι κρυμμένη μέσα σου, δηλαδή μέσα στην ψυχή σου. Καθάρισε λοιπόν τον εαυτό σου από την αμαρτία και θα βρεις εκεί σκαλοπάτια, με τα οποία θα μπορέσεις να ανεβαίνεις.
