Ad Primam

Ad Primam

Hail Mary. . . God, make haste to help me. Lord, hurry to help me. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Alleluia. Hymn: Remember the author of salvation. That which you took from our former body, you took in being born from the immaculate Virgin. Mary, Mother of grace, Mother of mercy, protect us from the enemy, and receive us at the hour of our death. Glory to you, Lord, who were born of the Virgin, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, in eternal ages. Amen. Ant: She has been taken up. Psalm 53: Save me, O God, by Your name, and judge me by Your strength. O God, hear my prayer; listen to the words of my mouth. For strangers have risen against me, and the mighty seek my life; they do not set God before them. Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the sustainer of my soul. Turn away evil from my enemies, and in Your truth, destroy them. I will freely sacrifice to You; I will give thanks to Your name, O Lord, for it is good. For You have delivered me from all trouble, and my eye has looked down upon my enemies. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Psalm 84: You have blessed, Lord, your land; you have restored the captivity of Jacob. You have forgiven the iniquity of your people; you have covered all their sins. You have mitigated all your wrath; you have turned away from the fury of your indignation. Restore us, O God of our salvation, and turn away your anger from us. Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger from generation to generation? O God, when you turn, you will give us life, and your people will rejoice in you. Show us, Lord, your mercy; and grant us your salvation. I will hear what the Lord God will speak within me, for he will speak peace to his people. And upon His holy ones, and upon those who turn to Him with all their heart. Yet near to those who fear Him is His salvation, that glory may dwell in our land. Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Truth has sprung up from the earth, and righteousness has looked down from heaven. Indeed, the Lord will give what is good, and our land will yield its increase. Righteousness will go before Him and make His footsteps a way. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Psalm 116: Praise the Lord, all you nations; praise him, all you peoples. For his mercy has been confirmed upon us, and the truth of the Lord endures forever. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Ant: Mary has been taken up into heaven; the angels rejoice, praising and blessing the Lord. Chapter (Canticle) 6) Who is this that comes forth like the dawn, beautiful as the moon, chosen like the sun, terrible as an army set in battle array? Thanks be to God. Grant that I may praise you, sacred Virgin. Grant me strength against your enemies. Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. Lord, hear my prayer. Let my cry come to you. Prayer: O God, who chose the virginal dwelling of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in which you deigned to live: we ask you to grant that, fortified by her protection, we may be made joyful by participating in her commemoration. Who lives and reigns with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen. Lord, hear my prayer. And let my cry come to you. Let us bless the Lord. Thanks be to God. May the souls of the faithful, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Ave Maria. . .

Deus in adiutorium meum intende.

Domine ad adiuvandum me festina.

Gloria Patri, et Filio: et Spiritui sancto. Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper: et in saecula saeculorum, Amen. Alleluia.

Hymnus: Memento salutis auctor. Quod nostri quondam corporis, Ex illibata virgine Nascendo, formam sumpseris. Maria mater gratiae, Mater misericordiae, Tu nos ab hoste protege, Et hora mortis suscipe. Gloria tibi Domine, Qui natus es de virgine, Cum patre, et sancto spiritu, In sempiterna saecula. Amen.

Ant: Assumpta est.

Psalmus 53: Deus in nomine tuo salvum me fac: et in virtute tua iudica me. Deus exaudi orationem meam: auribus percipe verba oris mei. Quoniam ex omni tribulatione eripuisti me: et super inimicos meos despexit oculus meus.

Gloria Patri, et Filio: et Spiritui sancto. Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper: et in saecula saeculorum, Amen.

Psalmus 84: Benedixisti Domine terram tuam: avertisti captivitatem Iacob. Remisisti iniquitatem plebis tuae: operuisti omnia peccata eorum. Mitigasti omnem iram tuam: avertisti ab ira indignationis tuae. Converte nos Deus saluturis noster: et averte iram tuam a nobis. Numquid in aeternum irasceris nobis: aut extendes iram tuam a generatione in generationem? Deus tu conversus vivificabis nos: et plebs tua laetabitur in te. Ostende nobis Domine misericordiam tuam: et salutare tuum da nobis. Audiam quid loquatur in me Dominus Deus: quoniam loquetur pacem in plebem suam.

Iustitia ante eum ambulabit: et ponet in via gressus suos.

Gloria Patri, et Filio: et Spiritui sancto. Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper: et in saecula saeculorum, Amen.

Psalmus 116: Laudate Dominum omnes gentes: laudate eum omnes populi.

Capitulum (Cant.

Deo gratias.

Dignare me laudare te virgo sacrata.

Da mihi virtutem contra hostes tuos. Kyrie eleison. Christe eleison. Kyrie eleison.

Domine exaudi orationem meam.

Amen.

Domine exaudi orationem meam.

Et clamor meus ad te veniat.

Benedicamus Domino.

Deo gratias.

Fidelium animae per misericordiam Dei, requiescant in pace.

Amen.
