XXXVIIII. Quomodo Deus antiquum serpentem superat.

XXXVIIII. Quomodo Deus antiquum serpentem superat.

But I, who am a strong warrior from the beginning of creation, will bring low that ancient serpent, and when he has completed the work of his culture, I will bring him down completely, and I will crush the whole disobedience that he has generated within himself. The devil, who is the father of disobedience, will be cast down. All these things will be destroyed with that ancient seducer and brought to nothing; and here the power of Divinity will be revealed in its fullness, because it has overcome its enemy. In humanity, He also overcomes, as He loves the conversion of the publicans and sinners; where He raises them up again, because the mercy of God is wide and will never dry up, nor will it change because of the ups and downs of any situation; but it remains always stable in itself, because God is that life which never began to live, and which finds no equal to itself, and which will also never end. God indeed welcomes repentant sinners who begin to live, as they abandon their sins and will wither in their sins, and when they wisely make shipwreck of their sins in tears of repentance. But whoever has a desire for life, let them receive these words and store them in the inner chamber of their heart. And behold, I saw other spirits from that multitude, who were all shouting, saying, "Is there anything great that God does?" Lucifer is great, and we will always be with him. These people are encouraged to indulge in mockery, and they show others how to have scornful words and actions.

Diabolus namque pater inobe>) quae A.
