XVIIII. Quod fortiludo Dei aquas liquefacit.

And behold, from the legs of that man, a certain air, coming out with sweat, moves all the waters of the abyss in various ways, because from the strength of God, the air, coming gently, liquefies the multitude of waters, spreading them here and there, as it leads them throughout the entire world, also retaining them in such a way that they do not exceed their measure, either by proceeding, returning, increasing, or decreasing, but so that they hold to their course, as they were established from the beginning. For the Spirit of the Lord gives moisture and direction to the waters, so that they may be humid and liquid, and flow as if they were alive; otherwise, they would become solid and remain in one place without the force of flowing motion, and neither the earth nor any other creature would be able to irrigate them.
