And again I heard a voice from heaven saying to me: "God, who created the earth and watered it with various grasses, holds it firm with His strength, so that it may not be reduced to dust; that man, formed from the earth and expelled from paradise, may stand upon it and labor in it. Through the true obedience of His Lord, let him return to grace, so that he may reject the diabolical vices that constantly oppose him, and love the virtues sent by God, and cling to his Creator continually." That a person should seek the light of beatitude. This is confirmed by the present vision, where you see that the aforementioned man turns himself toward the South, so that he looks both South and West, because the Almighty God moves man by His mercy, so that he may focus on the light of supreme happiness in the fervor and love of true holiness, and that he may love that fervent light, and completely reject the blindness and darkness of diabolical suggestions, nor voluntarily submit himself to that power.

XVIIIL Quod homo lucem beeUitudinis attendat, 27.
