LIIII. Jeremia^ ad eamdem rem.
LIIII. Jeremia^ ad eamdem rem.
The hands of the merciful women have tenderly held their children; their daughters are in sorrow for the people of my own, for the Lord has completed His fury and poured out the anger of His indignation. And he kindled a fire in Zion, and it consumed its foundations; whose sense is such. The fragile works of women, who lack the strong core of men, turn instead to those actions that arise from the misery of their hearts; they bear children according to their own will, where they burn in carnal delight, and in their souls they perish, as the sins of the flesh draw them toward every sin. And so their desires, namely those of these people, become their food, as they fulfill all that they long for. And they do this in contrition and in the ruin of their souls, who should have been nourished by the holy works of God's people. Therefore, those who are lacking in all the perfection of good virtues and in all the holiness of integrity say, "What is this that we have never seen?" We hear many things that we don't understand, and we don't even know if they're true. When they stubbornly say these things, the joy of life along with all holiness fails within them, and all the virtues with which they should have been adorned are extinguished in them; then the Lord of all brings down His vengeance upon them, where He stirs up all His zeal against them, so that without sparing, but as if pouring out a flood, He cuts away their iniquities, treating them with disdain until He brings them to nothing. And so, the desire for glory ignites His zeal in that ascent, where God should have been regarded, which they did not do, but instead they longed for pride; where they think they have ascended to such a mountain, where no one can overcome them. Then it uproots the foundations of that same pride, because it completely destroys it and eradicates its roots, so that they do not rise again, such that neither at the beginning nor at the end of it will any salvation be found; for the path of those who follow it will perish; because God, who created them, and who has delivered them from the Devil, they do not have faith in.

Manus mulierum misericordium coxerunt filios suos, facli sunt cihus earum in contritiane filiae populi mei, Complevit Dominns furorem swum, effudit iram indignationis suae.
