XLVni. De bono perseverantiae et sanctitatis
XLVni. De bono perseverantiae et sanctitatis
But what you see is that the wind, which carries a turbulent cloud above itself, extends it from the South to the West; this signifies that justice, suffering through many troubled works of men, leads it along from the South, as those there, burning in the perfection of faith, move toward the end of perseverance, so that men resisting the Devil may persevere in good and live in holiness before God. The length and breadth of that cloud is like a wide street, which, due to its vastness, cannot be grasped by human understanding, because the extension and diffusion of good works, along with the embrace and love of virtues, is so great that their propagation exceeds the human heart.
