O gentle Jesus, my Lord, my Savior, and my God, I bow before your majesty, dedicating and consecrating this work to your glory. Bring the words in this work to life with your blessing, so that the souls for whom I wrote it may receive the sacred inspirations I desire for them—especially the inspiration to ask for your immense mercy on my behalf—so that, after showing others the way of devotion in this world, I won't be condemned and put to shame forever in the next, but may instead join them in singing forever this song of triumph, these words that I proclaim with all my heart as a pledge of faithfulness amid the hazards of this mortal life: LONG LIVE JESUS! LONG LIVE JESUS! Yes, Lord Jesus, live and reign in our hearts forever and ever. Amen.

O doux Jésus, mon Seigneur, mon Sauveur et mon Dieu, me voici prosterné devant votre Majesté, vouant et consacrant cet écrit à votre gloire. Animez les paroles qui y sont de votre bénédiction, à ce que les âmes pour lesquelles je l’ai fait en puissent recevoir les inspirations sacrées que je leur désire, et particulièrement celle d’implorer sur moi votre immense miséricorde, afin que, montrant aux autres le chemin de la dévotion en ce monde, je ne sois pas réprouvé et confondu éternellement en l’autre ; ains qu’avec eux je chante à jamais pour cantique de triomphe, le mot que de tout mon cœur je prononce en témoignage de fidélité, parmi les hasards de cette vie mortelle : VIVE JÉSUS, VIVE JÉSUS !
