A Godly Heritage
Following his brother Vratislav's succession and church dedication, the noble lineage culminates in the birth of Wenceslaus, who surpasses his fathers in heavenly zeal.
Meanwhile, during the days of his praiseworthy life, by the example of his honorable deeds and through the law of nature being closed, his younger brother Wratizlav succeeded him in the principality, with the public assent choosing him; and he himself, having obtained his brother's religious devotion, erected a basilica to be dedicated to God for the victorious athlete of God, the blessed martyr George, believing in the Christian truth. When he was also naturally passing from life after the slow passage of times, he left behind an offspring to be frequented with high admiration by mortals through praises—namely, the greater of his sons both by birth and by deed, Wenceslaus, beloved by God, surviving him and with a much more burning zeal for heavenly things.

Huius interim laudabilis vitae diebus, honestorum actuum exemplo, per naturae legem obclusis, frater eius aetate minor Wratizlav in principatum, se publico assensu eligente, successit, fraternamque ipse assecutus religionem, vietorioso deiathletae beato martiri Georgio basilicam- deo dicandam, christianae credulus veritati, erexit. Quo etiam post tardos temporum tractus naturaliter hominem exeunte, sobolem alta ammiracione mortalibus per laudes frequentandam, filiorum scilicet tam natu quam etiam actu maiorem, deo dilectum Vencezlaum, superstitem sibi ac multo coelestium ardentiorein reliquit.
