De sancta Praxede
The Faithful Life of Saint Praxedis
Saint Praxedis and her holy siblings dedicated their lives to the apostolic faith, the burial of the martyrs, and the relief of the poor.
The virgin Praxedis was the sister of the blessed Potentiana; they were sisters of Saint Donatus and Saint Timothy, who were taught the faith by the apostles. After they had buried the bodies of many Christians during the height of the persecution and had given away their own wealth to the poor, they finally rested in peace around the year of our Lord 165, under Marcus and Antoninus the Second.
