The Wisdom of Discernment

We must distinguish between the corruption of human institutions and the inherent value of the things themselves.

Just because popes were once tainted by poison, it doesn't mean everything should be recklessly thrown away. If we were to remove everything that has been corrupted by misuse, we wouldn't have any bodies or souls left.
