A Prayer for Grace and Global Witness
The prayer begins by seeking God's blessing and grace so that the knowledge of Christ may spread to all nations.
May God be gracious to us and give us his blessing. May his face shine brightly on us and light our way to eternal life. so that we may know his works and what pleases him on earth, and so that Jesus Christ, our salvation and strength, may become known among the nations, and may they turn to God.
The Joy of God's Righteous Rule
The nations are called to rejoice and praise God, who acts as a righteous judge and a shepherd through His word.
Then, God, the nations everywhere will thank and praise you. And let the whole world rejoice and sing out with a mighty sound. For you are the judge on earth, and you don't let sin rule. Your word is the shelter and pasture that sustain every people.1 and guide them along the right path.2
Fruitfulness and Trinitarian Blessing
The prayer concludes by acknowledging the fruitfulness of God's word and invoking the blessing of the Trinity upon all the earth.
Let people thank God and praise you through their good deeds. The land bears fruit and flourishes; your word has prospered.34 May the Father and the Son bless us; may God the Holy Spirit bless us. May the whole world honor and fear him above all else. Now say Amen from your heart.
