I am never without sorrow, Yet I am never without grace: Always I have sighs and woes, Always I can see Jesus: Always my sins weigh me down, Always Jesus helps me on: Always I am in distress, Always I am full of song: Now in sorrow, now in joy, Now in fall and now in rest: Often full of great turmoil, Always full of faith in Jesus! So sorrow is linked with joy, and the cup is intertwined in the circle of my life's dealings; such is the measure of my life. But, O Jesus, I will weep, Help me to find joy in faith From my sin and sorrow, Always to gain the balance!
