De destructione castri Cristmemele.
The Fall of Christmemel
The transfer of Memelburg to the Prussian brothers and the subsequent destruction of the castle of Christmemel, built by Master August Carolus, on the feast of Saint Peter in Chains.
In 1325, the castle of Memelburg — which brothers from Livonia had built in 1252 and which had remained under their authority up to that time — was transferred to the brothers from Prussia. From there, the castle of Christmemel, which Brother I—1 August Carolus, the master, built it; it was laid waste on the Feast of Saint Peter in Chains*.2
