De morte cc milia Sarracenorum.
Tartar Devastation of the Saracens
In 1300 the Tartars swept from their homeland through Cappadocia, Seleucia, Antioch, Armenia, the land of promise, Damascus, Gaza, and up to Egypt's borders, killing over two hundred thousand Saracens.
In the year of our Lord 1300, the Tartars set out from their own lands and fell upon the Saracens — first in Cappadocia, then in the regions of Seleucia or Antioch, from there into Greater and Lesser Armenia, and from there through the whole land of promise and into Damascus and Gaza, all the way to the borders of Egypt — and in all these regions they killed more than two hundred thousand Saracens. (Ptol. app. p. .)
