The Tartar Devastation of Hungary and Poland

The Tartar invasion of Hungary and Poland brought death to King Colman, Duke Henry, and countless common people, reducing the lands to desolation so severe that survivors resorted to using mountain dust as flour.

In the same year, the Tartar people of the eastern region invaded Hungary and Poland, and there in battle they killed Colman, the brother of the king of Hungary, and Henry, the duke of Poland, and the rest of the common people whom they could find, and they reduced those lands to desolation, so that many used the dust of a certain mountain as flour.
