The Master General's March and the Burning of Junigeda's Suburb
Brother Karl, master general of the Teutonic Order, raises an army to relieve the besieged castle of Junigeda, learns the siege has been lifted, then leads a night raid by ship that destroys the suburb by fire, kills and captures its inhabitants, and proceeds to restore what the Lethowini had ruined at Gristmemel.
2. Meanwhile, in October, Brother Karl, the master general, worried for the safety of his men and troubled by the siege of the aforementioned castle, gathered a great army to free it. But while on the road he learned that the siege had been lifted, so he dismissed the army except for six thousand men, with whom he came by ship at night to the castle of Junigeda. Entering its suburb, they killed the peasants and local men, captured seventy-eight, and destroyed it completely by fire. Then they advanced to Gristmemel and restored whatever the Lethowini had destroyed there.

Sed dum in via perciperet, quod esset solutum ab obsidione, dimisit exercitum, preter sex milia hominum, cum quibus navigio venit noctis tempore ad castrum Junigeclam, et intrantes suburbium ejus, occisis raultis hominibus et lxxviii captis, funditus per incendium destruxerunt.
