De destructione castri Putenicke.

The Fall of Putenicka

A Lithuanian named Spudo builds and then betrays the castle of Putenicka to the Teutonic brothers, who destroy it and convert him and his family to baptism.

After this, several years having passed, a certain Lithuanian named Spudo, after a castle was built at Putenicka, a zealot of the faith and of the faithful, entrusted it to Brother Volz, the aforementioned commander, so that he would come with his own army, for he himself wanted to hand over the aforementioned castle to him. When this was noticed, the same commander came with all his subordinates, and that man secretly opening the gates of the castle, the brothers entered with their own men, and after killing and capturing everyone, they destroyed it along with the suburb by setting fire to it from the foundation, and Spudo, called so, along with his father and his brothers and his whole family, received the grace of baptism.
