The Prussian Massacre at Thorn
The Prussians attacked Christians departing a chapel consecration at Thorn, killing men and taking women and children captive.
On the death of many Christians. Brother Hedenricus, bishop of Culm, had consecrated a chapel at the hospice for the sick located outside the walls of Thorn, when the Prussians, who had learned of the announcement of this consecration, gathered an army and, after the consecration, attacked the departing people in hostile fashion; and having killed the men, they carried off the women as captives and led away the children.
