The Structure of the Creed
The Creed is composed of twelve distinct articles that provide a framework for understanding the faith.
How many articles does the Creed consist of? To understand the Creed better, you should pay attention to how it's divided into twelve articles and consider each one separately.
The First Seven Articles: The Work of the Trinity
The first seven articles detail the nature of God the Father, the person of Jesus Christ, and the history of His incarnation, passion, resurrection, and return.
What does each article of the Creed talk about? The first article speaks of God—specifically, of the first hypostasis of the Holy Trinity, of God the Father, and of God as the Creator of the world. The second article speaks of the second hypostasis of the Holy Trinity, of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. The third article speaks of the incarnation of the Son of God. The fourth article speaks of the suffering and death of Jesus Christ. The fifth article speaks of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The sixth article speaks of the ascension of Jesus Christ into heaven. The seventh article speaks of the second coming of Jesus Christ to earth.
The Final Five Articles: The Life of the Church
The final articles address the Holy Spirit, the Church, the Sacraments, and the hope of the resurrection and eternal life.
The eighth article concerns the third hypostasis of the Holy Trinity, the Holy Spirit. The ninth article concerns the Church. The tenth article concerns Baptism, which also implies the other Sacraments. The eleventh article concerns the future resurrection of the dead. The twelfth article concerns everlasting life.

Во втором члене – о второй ипостаси Святой Троицы, о Господе Иисусе Христе, Сыне Божием. В третьем члене – о воплощении Сына Божия. В четвертом члене – о страдании и смерти Иисуса Христа. В пятом члене – о воскресении Иисуса Христа. В шестом члене – о вознесении Иисуса Христа на небо. В седьмом члене – о втором пришествии Иисуса Христа на землю.
