De Iustificatione

Justified by Faith Alone

Human beings cannot justify themselves before God by their own works, but are freely justified through faith in Christ, which God reckons as righteousness.

They also teach that people can't be justified before God by their own strength, merits, or works, but are justified freely because of Christ through faith, when they believe that they are received into grace and that their sins are forgiven because of Christ, who by his death made satisfaction for our sins. God reckons this faith as righteousness before himself, Rom. 3 and 4.
