The unity of love is always renewed in those who live in a good and honorable way, serving God with a worthy life. And that is: Three. These are the parts of people who serve God in a devoted manner. The first group consists of good-willed, diligent people who are always striving and dying to sin. The other group consists of those who are humble, rich in spirit, and alive, fulfilling all good works. The third group consists of those who are renewed and enlightened, always dying in love and being renewed in unity with God. This is. Two. Three states. Three. They are organized there in every way of holiness. And so these. Three. The state to come in a person, so he lives according to the most beloved will of goods.

De derde partye dat sijn verhavene, verclaerde menschen, altoes in minnen stervende ende vernieutende in eenecheit met gode.
Dit sijn . iij. state ochte . iij. ordenen daer alle wisen van heilecheiden in gheüfent werden. Ende alse dese . iiij. state te gadere comen in eenen mensche, soe leeft hi na den liefsten wille goods.
Nu merct dan die state ende die levene met haren onderscheede; ic salse u tooenen ende verclaren, op-dat ghi u-selven wel bekinnen mooght, ende niet beter noch heilegher en waent sijn dan ghi sijd.
