Antiphon (I)
The Call to Universal Praise
The chorus summons all creation to sing praise, and the first verse declares that heaven and earth alike are fit for God's praise.
Chorus.1 Let all the world in every corner sing, My God and King. Verse. The heavens aren't too high; his praise may fly there. The earth isn't too low; his praises may grow there.
The Refrain and the Heart's Psalm
The chorus repeats its call, and the second verse emphasizes that the church's psalmody must be matched by the heart's devotion.
Chorus. Let all the world in every corner sing, My God and King. Verse. The church with psalms must shout; no door can keep them out. But above all, the heart must bear the longest part.2
The Final Chorus
The chorus concludes the antiphon with its closing call for all the world to sing.
Chorus.3 Let all the world in every corner sing, My God and King.
