Regula, caput I

Christ's Dictation for Mary's Honor

Christ personally dictates a new monastic rule for women, establishing it first and foremost to honor his Mother, the Virgin Mary.

Christ says to the bridegroom that he himself wishes to dictate with his own mouth this new rule, which he wants to be for the nuns, for the remembrance and honor of the glorious Virgin Mary, his Mother. "It is this religious life, then, that I want to establish first and foremost through women, for the honor of my most beloved Mother. I will declare its order and statutes most fully with my own mouth."
