Preces Quotidianae
Hoping in God's Word
The faithful soul recalls God's promise and faints for salvation, placing full hope in the word.
Remember your word to your servant, in which you gave me hope.✦ My soul faints for your salvation,✦1 and I've placed my full hope in your word.✦ 81.2
Prayers for the Church and Community
A series of intercessions for the Christian army, the brotherhood, friends and enemies, benefactors, captives, and absent members.
For a successful campaign, and for the strengthening of the entire Christian army against the enemies of our most holy Faith.3 For the holy4 our Fathers, and for all our brotherhood in Christ. For those who hate us, and for those who love us.✦ For those who have shown us mercy, and for those who provide us with what we need. For those we have promised to remember in our prayers. For the liberation of captives. For our Fathers and brothers who are away.
Commemorations and Supplications
Prayers are offered for travelers, the sick, the earth's harvest, all orthodox Christians, and for the commemoration of kings, bishops, founders, and departed family.
For those who sail the seas. For those laid low by sickness.5 Let us also pray for the fruitfulness of the earth's crops, and for every soul among orthodox Christians.6 Let us commemorate the pious kings, the orthodox bishops, and the founders of this holy house,7 our parents, and all our deceased ancestors and our brothers.
Closing Plea for Protection
A final petition asks for the Lord's mighty hand to be with the supplicant for protection.
Lord, may your mighty hand always be with me. for protection,

Notes
- 1 ↩defecit in + acc. can mean faint/fail with longing for, or waste away waiting on; 'faints for' keeps the psalmic force. salutare tuum = your salvation / saving help.
- 2 ↩Bare numeral; likely a psalm-verse or prayer-item marker rather than prose to translate. Preserved as printed.
- 3 ↩Reading sanctissim:e nostre as sanctissimae nostrae with Fidei: 'of our most holy Faith.'
- 4 ↩SS. expanded as Sanctis ('holy'), continuing into the next sentence with Patribus nostris (standard intention: for our holy Fathers).
- 5 ↩Source reading 'prc' is corrupt; translated as pro (on account of), yielding 'decumbentibus pro infirmitate' = those laid low by sickness.
- 6 ↩Normalized 'fertihtate' as fertilitate and 'terre' as terrae; sense is clear.
- 7 ↩Normalized 'Pr:esules' as Praesules (bishops/prelates) and 'sanctz' as sanctae; sentence ends mid-list (continues in the next section).
