Gloria in Excelsis
The ancient hymn of praise, from the angelic announcement to the plea for mercy.
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among people of good will.✦1 We praise You, we bless You, we adore You, we glorify You; we give You thanks for Your great glory, O Lord God, heavenly King, God the Father almighty, O Lord, only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ.2 Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, You who take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.✦3 You who take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer.✦ You who sit at the right hand of the Father,✦4 have mercy on us.

Notes
- 1 ↩Source reads 'bonz voluntates'; translated as the intended liturgical Gloria reading 'bonae voluntatis' (of good will).
- 2 ↩Source has stray quote before 'Tuam' and 'Fih' for intended 'Fili' (Son).
- 3 ↩Source 'Fihus' corrected to intended 'Filius' (Son).
- 4 ↩Sentence is syntactically incomplete in the source; neighboring section continues with 'miserere nobis.'
