Three Figures in the Southern Spring

The visionary beholds three luminous figures near a sacred spring in the southern region — two rooted in a perforated stone, one standing apart in radiant white — with the blessed orders of saints appearing like clouds before them.

I also saw, as it were, in the middle of the southern region mentioned before, three images — two of them standing in a kind of purest spring, enclosed and adorned above with a round and perforated stone, as if they were rooted in the stone itself, much like trees that at times seem to grow in water — the one indeed in a purple radiance, the other, however, in a white brightness, surrounded in such a way that I could not gaze on them fully. The third, however, stood outside the same spring, above the stone mentioned before, clothed in a white garment, and her face shone with such brightness that the brightness itself would reflect my face back from it. And before them the blessed orders of saints appeared like clouds, because they were being gazed at intently.
