The Seed of a New Life
A good beginning in the Christian life contains the potential for the entire spiritual journey.
Have you taken in what's written in the article “The Beginning of the Christian Life”? It’s a program for a whole life, even though it only sets out the beginning. By the usual rule, a good beginning is half the work; but in Christianity, a good beginning is the whole work, because you already have the seed of the full tree that is to come—with its leaves, flowers, and fruit. That’s why even someone who has already begun won't find it useless to look through this little piece.

Взяли-ль вы в толк, что писано в статье: начало христианской жизни. Тут программа целой жизни, хотя изображено только начало. Ибо, по простому закону, доброе начало – половина дела; а в Христианстве доброе начало – все дело, ибо там семя будущаго целаго древа с листьями, цветами и плодами. Потому и начавшему не бесполезно просматривать сию статейку. К проповедям многие не благоволят. Напрасно. Проповедь, излившаяся из души, великое дело. Ищите и найдете!
