¶ We must trust to obteine eternall Saluation, onely by the name of Christ.

Christ Alone Saves

Those who claim salvation through any law or sect are accursed, for Scripture teaches that only the name of Jesus Christ brings salvation.

They also are to be held accursed and abhorred who presume to say that every person will be saved by the law or sect he professes, so long as he is diligent to shape his life according to that law and the light of nature.1 For holy Scripture sets before us only the name of Jesus Christ, by which people must be saved.
