A petition to God to sanctify every thought, word, and action for His glory.
O eternal God, who has made all things for humanity and humanity for your glory, sanctify my body and soul, my thoughts and my intentions, my words and actions, so that whatever I think, speak, or do may be intended by me for the glory of your name; and by your blessing may it be effective and successful in the work of God, as far as it is capable of being.✦ Lord, turn my necessities into virtue; turn the works of nature into the works of grace by making them orderly, regular, temperate, subordinate, and useful for ends beyond their own proper power; and let no pride or self-seeking, no covetousness or revenge, no impure mixture or base purposes, no petty aims and low thoughts pollute my spirit and make unholy any of my words and actions; but let my body be a servant of my spirit, and both body and spirit servants of Jesus, so that, doing all things for your glory here, I may share in your glory hereafter: through Jesus Christ our Lord.✦✦12 Amen.
