The soul is exhorted to cast off spiritual slumber and repent before the Lord, who is ever-present.
My soul, my soul, arise; why are you sleeping? The end is near, and you will soon be troubled. So wake up, that Christ God, who is present everywhere and fills all things, may have mercy on you.

Ψυχή μου, ψυχή μου, ἀνάστα, τί καθεύδεις; τὸ τέλος ἐγγίζει καὶ μέλλεις θορυβεῖσθαι· ἀνάνηψον οὖν, ἵνα φείσηταί σου Χριστὸς ὁ Θεός, ὁ πανταχοῦ παρὼν καὶ τὰ πάντα πληρῶν.
