Quarta Stazione: Gesù incontra sua Madre
The Sorrowful Encounter
A meditation on the meeting between Jesus and his Mother, focusing on the shared suffering of their hearts and a prayer for maternal intercession.
We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you, because by your holy Cross you have redeemed the world.✦ Consider the meeting between the Son and his Mother on this journey. Jesus and Mary looked at each other, and their glances became like so many arrows, with which they wounded their loving hearts. My most beloved Jesus, by the pain you suffered in this meeting, grant me the grace to be a true devotee of your Most Holy1 Mother. And you, my sorrowful Queen, obtain for me through your intercession a constant and loving remembrance of the Passion of your Son.
A Prayer of Contrition and Love
A concluding prayer expressing deep repentance, a desire for union with Christ, and total surrender to his will.
I love you, my Jesus, more than myself; I repent with all my heart for having offended you. Forgive me, and don't let me separate myself from you. Grant that I may always love you, and then do with me as you please.
