Love and Its Contrary
Love cannot arise, endure, or achieve its goal when opposed, and sin is the greatest opposition, while lesser love fails against false love.
No love begins through what is contrary. ii. Contrary love cannot stand between lover and beloved. iii. With opposition of love, no lover attains the end of what he loves. iv. The greatest opposition between lover and beloved is sin. v. No equality of love can stand through what is contrary. iii. With lesser love, no lover can prevail against false love.1
